English Summer Courses
Our English summer courses are a great way to improve your level of English while enjoying all that Portsmouth has to offer. The city is particularly lively during the summer months, with many seaside events and weekly food and music festivals throughout summer, making it a great destination for international students to study English or prepare for an exam whilst living the summer school life!
English Summer Programmes
Summer is a great time to visit Portsmouth, as the school is even livelier during the summer months. Although we offer the same courses throughout the year, many of our students decide to visit LSI/IH Portsmouth for shorter courses during this time. However, there is no maximum limit to the number of weeks you can study with us, and this applies year round. We keep classes small, even in the Summer time and make sure that there are no more than 12 students per classroom, so all our students receive the same high level of personal care and attention.
Summer Accommodation
We understand how important it is for you to feel happy in your accommodation during your language stay. We offer two types of accommodation, either living in one of LSI/IH Portsmouth’s self-catering houses, or living with a local homestay family. We take great care when selecting our homestay families, and we will do all we can to ensure you will feel happy and comfortable with your living arrangements.
Summer Social Programme
We know that there are many English summer schools in the UK but choosing Portsmouth is a decision you won’t regret! Portsmouth is a fantastic location to study English throughout the year, but the city is particularly wonderful to visit during the summertime. Our full-time dedicated Social Programme staff create a unique social calendar to showcase the best of what Portsmouth, Hampshire and the South coast of England have to offer. We want to make sure you have the best time whilst you learn English with us!
